Warta Mouth Landscape Park

The park is located right next to the Polish-German border and includes the following communes: Słońsk, Witnica, Kostrzyn nad Odrą, Boleszkowice and Górzyca. The area around the mouth of the Warta River is one of the most interesting places in Poland. Two great rivers, the Odra and the Warta, intersect here, shaping the unusual character of this area. A distinctive feature of the landscape of the "Warta Mouth" Landscape Park among many others is a dominance of open areas – vast wet meadows and pastures, numerous oxbow lakes, peat bogs, clay ponds, mid-field ponds and small wooded areas. The network of small rivers and drainage canals crossing the area is over 300 km long and is a remnant of the once extensive hydrological network of the Warta River.
